How Concerns Are Handled

  1. Raise the concern privately with a Steward where appropriate.
  2. Submit a formal written complaint below when the issue requires a recorded response.
  3. A Steward without a material conflict will assess the complaint. Complaints involving a Steward should be assigned to another Steward or the Committee.
  4. The Club may request further information, take immediate safety measures, facilitate internal mediation or refer a matter to an appropriate venue, insurer, regulator or authority.
  5. Internal disputes are handled consistently with the association’s registered rules. This page does not replace those rules.

Formal Complaint

Complaint information is restricted to people who need it to assess and respond. It may be disclosed where required for safety, procedural fairness or law. Read the Privacy Policy.

Response and Escalation

The Club aims to acknowledge formal complaints promptly and provide an initial response within 10 business days where practicable. Complex matters may take longer. A complainant may request Committee review where the process or outcome is disputed.

External options may include Access Canberra, the ACT Human Rights Commission, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, venue management, police or another appropriate body depending on the issue.

For emergencies or immediate danger, contact emergency services rather than using this form.
